How to Prepare for Your Bridal Appointment at Love Era

How to Prepare for Your Bridal Appointment at Love Era
We believe wedding dress shopping should feel equal parts exciting, intentional, and full of heart. At Love Era, our stylists are here to create a personalized, elevated experience from the moment you book your appointment. To help you make the most of your time with us (and avoid decision fatigue along the way), we put together our best tips for preparing for your bridal appointment.

1. Be Thoughtful With Your Schedule
While it may be tempting to book four or five shops in one day, we highly recommend limiting your stops to no more than three bridal appointments. Shopping for your wedding dress can be more emotional and overwhelming than expected, and too many appointments in a row can lead to burnout, blurred memories, and second-guessing.
We also encourage you to block out time for a food and hydration break between stops. Whether it’s a long lunch, coffee with your crew, or a quick solo recharge, your body (and decision-making clarity) will thank you.
If you want a luxurious, unrushed experience all in one place, consider booking a VIP appointment with us. It includes added time, refreshments, and thoughtful extras to make the experience even more special.
2. Come With an Open Mind (and a Little Inspiration)
We love when brides bring along their Pinterest boards, screenshots, or favorite designer looks—these help us get a feel for your vibe. That said, don’t be afraid to step outside of what you think you want. One of the most common things we hear? “I never thought I’d love this style, but wow.”
Our stylists are trained to read your body language and listen between the lines. We’ll start with what you think you love and then gently expand the vision based on how you’re reacting to each gown. Sometimes the dress you never expected becomes the dress you can’t stop thinking about—and we think that’s kind of magical.
3. Choose Your Entourage Wisely
Who you bring to your appointment can greatly affect how you feel. We recommend bringing 2-3 people whose opinions you trust, who understand your style, and who know how to support you with positivity and grace. This day is about you and your vision.
If you’re worried about keeping the peace or managing differing opinions, you can always FaceTime loved ones after you’ve narrowed it down. Keeping your group small during the initial appointment can help reduce pressure and create a more focused, joyful experience.
4. What to Wear (and What to Bring)
You’ll be changing in and out of gowns, so we recommend wearing something comfortable and easy to slip on and off. Here are a few tips to help you feel confident and distraction-free:
- Underwear is required (we recommend nude or skin-tone)
- Pasties, bras, shapewear, and heels are completely optional
- A hair tie or clip can be helpful to see how a dress looks with your hair up
- Bring inspo photos, must-have details, and a list of questions if you have them
5. Kids Are Welcome, With Care
We understand that families come in all forms and sometimes little ones need to join. We welcome infants and children over 8, but we do ask that your group is fully responsible for their care during your appointment. Our gowns are delicate, and our space is designed to be serene and sacred. We want everyone to have the best possible experience—you included.
6. Your Stylist Is Already Thinking About You
Once you book your appointment, your stylist will personally reach out to connect about your style, venue, budget, sizing, timeline, and anything else you want us to know. This allows us to pre-pull gowns before you even arrive, setting the tone for a curated, elevated appointment made just for you.
During your appointment, we’ll listen closely to your feedback, swap gowns mid-appointment as needed, and guide you toward that “I feel so confident and like a bride” moment. Because that’s our goal every time: to help you feel fully seen and celebrated in your skin.
We Can’t Wait to Meet You
Whether you find the one right away or want to take time to think, we’re here to support you with honesty, care, and heart. We’re not here to “sell you a dress”—we’re here to help you find your dress. The one that makes you feel like the truest version of yourself.
With love,
The Love Era Team
