How do I prepare for my appointment?

Do I need an appointment?

You can read through our appointment preparation guide here. We will also send you a questionnaire & email with more details once your appointment has been booked. TLDR; we recommend filling out the questionnaire thoroughly, bringing ideal wedding day shoes and skin-toned undergarments. Note that the stylist will be the only one helping you get into and out of gowns during your appointment.

Love Era is a by-appointment wedding boutique; we cannot accommodate walk-ins at this time. This allows us to keep the wedding gown shopping experience intimate and customized for each shopper and their entourage.

What is the price range of your wedding gowns and accessories?

When should I start shopping? How far in advance do I need to order my gown and accessories?

Our gowns range from $1800 to $10,000, with the majority being in the $2500-$5000 range. Alterations are not included or offered at Love Era, but we are happy to recommend you to the top local Alteration Specialists.

We recommend you begin shopping at least 8-10 months before your wedding date, and aim to purchase at least 6 months before. All designer gowns are lovingly made-to-order and take up to 18 weeks to create. We advise an additional 4 weeks so you have time for alterations if necessary. Can wedding gowns be customized?

Some of our designers offer slight customizations to the sleeves, lengths and material or color of the gowns. Your stylist will help you decide on any customizations during your appointment. Feel free to contact alexandria@loveerawedding.com for more details.

What size are your sample gowns?

As we are a size-inclusive wedding boutique, we carry sample sizes ranging from size US 8 to US 22.

We recommend joining our email list for updates on any trunk shows, which is when we are able to showcase more gowns from the designers we carry. We might also be able to accommodate bringing in a special gown if it is requested enough. Please email alexandria@loveerawedding.com for all special requests.

We are able to accommodate a maximum of 7 additional guests per appointment. Our recommendation is to keep this process as intimate as possible and only invite those whose opinions you value and trust. Choosing your wedding attire is a very important and individualized process. It’s perfectly acceptable and encouraged to go to at least one appointment on your own, as well. Note that while we adore animals, they are the only guests we cannot accommodate at Love Era.

Do you offer alterations?

We do not currently offer alterations at Love Era but are happy to give you a list of recommendations within the Southern California area.

What is a trunk show?

Trunk shows are short periods of time where you can try on a larger selection of gowns from a specific designer that we don't always carry in the boutique or a new designer we'd love to bring into the bridal shop. Check out Instagram for special announcements! Book your appointment within the time frame below if you'd like to try on specific designer gowns.

Since all gowns and accessories are made to order to your individual size and customizations, all sales are final.

Is there a cancellation fee?

Cancellations must be made more than 24 hours in advance. Any cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance and/or no-shows will be charged a $50 fee.
