We recommend inviting people who understand your personal style best, who will bring a positive, encouraging perspective to the appointment and create a supportive environment through the entire day.
We welcome your adults, infants and children over 10, however, you & your crew are responsible for taking care of children. We have welcomed young children in the past and realized tulle & fabric is not a playground for kiddos. Thank you for respecting this policy.
An open mindset to try on dresses you might not have thought of! Trust your stylist to make recommendations based on your body language and feedback during the appointment.
Pasties, bras, shape-wear and heels are optional. Underwear are REQUIRED. We recommend nude or skin-tone so it doesn’t distract from the wedding dress details.
We understand you might be taking one day to shop at multiple locations. It is highly recommended to keep your locations to 3 or less and allow for a scheduled food break (or of course schedule a VIP appointment with us!)
Staying hydrated and fed will allow you to power through wedding dress shopping.
After you book your appointment at Love Era, one of our stylists will be in touch to connect on a deeper level about your personal style, wedding aesthetic & any other details we should know prior. We’ll chat about styles, price points, sizing, timelines, alterations and answer any questions you might have. Our goal is for you to arrive excited & empowered to wedding dress shop!
Your personal stylist will pre-pull dress options based on any inspiration photos and specific details you went over pre-appointment. They carefully listen to your specific feedback and watch your body language to carve the path to finding your wedding dress. This might mean they swap dresses out mid-appointment or talk through customization options, all while matching your overall style and wedding visions.
After refining your style and narrowing down to your top favorite wedding dress (most brides want to re-try at least two), we’ll put the favorites back on and fully style from head to toe, swapping out veils and accessories until we’ve found your perfect wedding day look. Once you now, you’ll know, trust us.
Once you’ve found the wedding dress that matches your personal style, mood board and wedding aesthetics, and most importantly, brings out your inner radiance, trust yourself enough to say you’ve found your dress! We’ll take solo & group photos, breathe a sigh of relief and cheers to checking “dream wedding dress” off your list of to-do’s
Once your wedding dress arrives at Love Era, we unpack and make sure everything is correct before texting you to schedule a 30 minute pick-up appointment. You’ll arrive to your steamed wedding dress ready for you to try-on, and leave with it in a white breathable garment bag.
Alterations are required of every wedding dress, regardless of if it was “made to measure” or ordered in a standard size. At minimal, a hem and a bustle will be needed.
We give you recommendations to our top 3 alteration specialists in the area ahead of time so you can schedule your appointment with them right after pick-up.
The short answer is YES! Most of our designers work with us to add custom options such as changing sleeves, closing slits, adding corset backs, changing the lining colors and more. Your stylist will help you decide on any customizations during your appointment. Feel free to contact alexandria@love-era.com for specific questions regarding dresses and designers.
We carry sample sizes ranging from size US 8 to US 22. All gowns can be ordered in a size US 0 – 32. Please note bridal sizing is not reflective of your typical street sizing.
We recommend watching our instagram to be notified of any trunk shows, which is when we are able to showcase more gowns from the designers we carry when they send us “traveling dresses.” We might also be able to accommodate bringing in a special gown for a $150 fee to borrow the gown from the designer. We can apply this payment towards your purchase if you select the gown. Email alexandria@love-era.com for all special requests.
Since all gowns and accessories are made to order to your individual size and customizations, all sales are final.
Most brides book their appointments way in advance and we only book one or two private appointments at a time. We value getting to work so intimately with our incredible brides to find their wedding dresses! When you book an appointment, you are reserving one stylists time and taking that appointment slot off of our calendar for others to book. For that reason, any cancellations or no-shows will be charged the $25 fee. We encourage you to look through our website and social media before committing to an appointment to see that we align in aesthetic, designer and price point.
